7. Turn the pi lot screw in or out sl ow ly to ob tain the
highest engine speed.
8. Ligh tly open the t hr ottle 2 or 3 times, then adj ust
the idle speed with the throttle stop scr ew.
9. Turn the pilot screw in until the engine speed
drops by 50 rpm.
I O. T urn the pilot screw counterclockwise to the final
opening from the position obtain ed in step 9.
FINAL OPENING: 112 turns out
l1.Remove the plug from the vacuum hose, then
disconnec t the vacuum pump and con nect the
vacuum hose to the PAIR control valve.
12.Readjust the idle speed with the throttle stop
screw .
IDLE SPEED : 1,700 ± 100 rpm
Disconnect the tachometer .
SECONDARY AIR SUPPLY SYSTEM ('05
and '06 California type, After '06)
SYSTEM INSPECTION
Warm up the engine to normal operating tempera·
ture.
Check
that the secondary air intake port is clean and
VACUUM
PUMP
free of carbon deposits. t t~jjj ~
Check the pulse secondary air injection (PAIR) con-
trol valve.
