IGNITION TIMING
Warm up the engine.
Stop the engine and remove the left crankcase
cover (page 10-4).
Read the mstruc- Connect the timing li ght to the spark plug wi r e.
1/0ns for tlmmg light
operation.

Start the engine and let it idle.
IDLE S PEED : 1,700 ± 100 rpm
The ignition ti ming is correct if the "F" mark on fly -
wheel aligns
with the index notch on the left crank-
case.
Increase the engine speed by turning the throttle
stop screw and make sure the "F" mark begins to
move clockwise.
Install the left crankcase cover (page 10-8).
