9.3 Cavity wall mounting of the back case
The rear wall can be mounted in a cavity wall using the 4 enclosed mounting claws and the 4 self-
tapping screws.
It is possible to mount the back case in a cavity wall without using the mounting claws by means of the
mounting holes on the frame, see chapter 9.2.
Mounting (Cavity wall):
Wall cut-out:
Make a wall cut-out with 188 x 132mm. Total depth at
least 30mm.
Make sure that the cut-out is not larger than the outer
dimensions of the frame (218 x 162mm).
Prepare the back case:
- Break out casing webs on the sides for fitting the
mounting claws, using side cutters or pliers.
- Select the claws for cavity wall mounting:
Insert the mounting claws with the short or long
threaded hole into the rear wall according to the
required wall clamping area.
- Insert the mounting claws according to the
illustration.
- Screw in the screw only until the claw is held in
place.
- Insert the housing into the cavity wall.
- Tighten the screws. The claws rotate 90° and clamp
the housing.
- Tighten the screws until the housing is securely
fastened.
