Redundant Controller
The redundant controller consists of two CN100 modules, two NAMs
and an IOTA.
n CN100 Controller
A device that contains most of the electronics required to perform
the function of a process controller. A CN100 module plugs onto
an IOTA designed for the CN100.
n Input Output Termination Assembly (IOTA)
An IOTA holds CN100 module, NAM and connection for IO link
and RS485. The IOTA contains only passive devices and
connectors.
n Network Adapter Module (NAM)
A NAM provides one Ethernet port, wired or fibre, for the modules
FTE connection.
n The IOTA supports two NAMS.
