Configuring Alarms Inputs
This section describes how to set the alarm input (sensor) type and handling properties. You
can set up the DVR to trigger one or more of the following alarm responses when a sensor alarm
event is detected:
To configure alarm input settings:
1. Go to Menu > Settings > Alarm > Alarm Input.
2. Select the alarm input you want to configure from the Alarm Input No. drop-down list.
3. If you want, in the Alarm Name field, enter a descriptive name for the alarm input.
4. Next to Type, select your alarm input type:
5. Select the Setting check box to enable the alarm input.
Video Recording
Video begins recording on the triggered channel.
Full Screen Monitoring
The monitor displays full screen video from the triggered channel.
When multiple channels are triggered simultaneously, the images
switch at regular intervals (the default dwell time is 10 seconds).
Audio Alarms
An audible beep sounds.
Surveillance Center
Notification
A signal is sent to a remote alarm host.

Email Notification
An email containing the event details is sent to one or more
recipients. See

Alarm Output
A signal is sent to an external alarm.

The alarm input is normally open. If it is closed, an alarm signal is generated.
•N.C.
The alarm input is normally closed. If it is opened, an alarm signal is generated.
