Viewing HDD Status
You can check the status of the hard disk drive(s) at any time.
To view the status of an HDD:
1. Go to Menu > HDD > General.
2. Under HDD Information, the status of each installed HDD is displayed. If the status of the
HDD is listed as Normal or Sleeping, then the HDD is working correctly. If the status is
listed as Uninitialized or Abnormal, initialize the HDD (select the HDD and click Init. This
will erase all data on the hard disk.). If the initialization fails, replace the HDD.
You can also view the HDD status in the System Maintenance menu. See Viewing System
Information, page 134.
