How do I resolve 'E4 – INTERNAL FAN ERROR (INDOOR PG MOTOR)' on my Honeywell HWAC-1217S?

If your Honeywell Air Conditioner displays an 'E4' error, which indicates an internal fan error, first check if the fan operates normally for one minute before the error occurs. If it does, there is likely no mechanical issue. Disconnect the power and manually move the fan blade to check for any resistance. Reconnect the drive wire and speed feedback wire to eliminate connector loosening as a cause. Inspect the speed feedback plug-in terminal on the control panel for looseness, and gently pull the terminal for inspection if necessary. Replace the motor in the faulted air conditioner with another PG motor (without fixing it with the fan). If the main control panel still shows the error, replace the main internal control panel; if the error disappears, replace the internal fan.
