3. Press Enter to select.

Note:TheinstructionsthatfollowinthismanualassumethattheSHC1isswitchedon,inOptima+mode,in
the Main Menu.
8.4 Status indication
When Display is selected, the screen includes a status character which indicates the Searchpoint Optima
Plusstatus(warning,faultetc.)asfollows:-
/ A spinning line shows the system is operating normally i.e. in a fully active state
| A stationery line shows the system is in inhibit
W Active Warning
F Active Fault
A Alarm
Press Enter to view the software version of Searchpoint Optima Plus.
8.5 SHC1 Battery Replacement
ToreplacethebatteryintheSHC1HandheldInterrogatorproceedasfollows:
Note:Tocomplywithcertication,onlyuseDURACELLMN1604Type6LR61
1. Remove the Interrogator from its protective pouch.
2. Using a 2.5mm allen hexagonal key, loosen the four screws on the rear cover of the Interrogator.
3. CarefullyliftthefronthalfoftheInterrogatorawayfromtherearcover,ensuringtheexibleconnector
connecting the key pad to the electronics module is not damaged.
4. Uncliptheoldbatteryandtthenewbatteryinposition.Re-usetheprotectivesleeve.
5. CarefullyreplacethefronthalfoftheInterrogatorbackintotherearcover,ensuringtheexible
connectorliesat.
6. Using a 2.5mm allen hexagonal key, tighten the four screws on the rear cover of the Interrogator.
When the battery reaches end of life, take it to a collection point designated by local authorities.
