Sensor Replacement
Caution ONLY replace a sensor with another of the same type.
The gas detector is fitted with a replaceable sensor which has no user-serviceable parts. At the end
of the sensor’s life replace it using the following procedure:
To change a sensor carry out the following procedure:
1 Isolate all associated power supplies and ensure that they remain OFF during the this
procedure.
2 Open the enclosure lid.
Unscrew the four M4 captive securing hex. screws, using a 4 mm (0.16 in.) A/F hex key
wrench. The lid is attached to the base by a retaining hinge. Lift the lid vertically away from
the enclosure base and then tilt it away from the base.
3 Disconnect the sensor wiring at the terminal block.
Record the position of the wiring.
4 Unscrew and remove the sensor’s M20 locknut.
5 Remove the sensor from the enclosure.
