Fault Relay (Relay 5) and Battery Discharged Relay (Relay 7) are normally held in an energized state for fail-safe operation.
Fault Relay will de-energize under any fault condition.
When the main power fails and the panel is operating on battery, a BATTERY DISCHARGED fault indication is given, if the battery gets discharged to its final
voltage. Battery Discharged Relay will de-energize under this condition to send a Power Supply Failure signal, before the panel gets powered down.
AS 7240.2: 9.2.4 G) & 9.2.5 B) INDICATION OF FAULT
INSTALLER SHOULD CONFIGURE/USE FAULT FEEDBACK IN THE CUSTOMER'S BRIGADE INTERFACE EQUIPMENT TO SIGNAL FAULT BACK TO THE
PANEL IN ORDER TO MONITOR THE TRANSMISSION PATHS FOR SHORT CIRCUIT/INTERRUPTION FAULTS.
