Single/Multi Correction
Mode Selection
Description
When the Option 301 (Scanner Interface) is installed, the HP 4284A
can store up to 128 sets of OPEN, SHORT, LOAD correction
measurement data, and one LOAD correction reference data for each
of the three test frequencies (FREQ1, FREQ2, and FREQ3), and
this correction mo de is the MULTI correction mo de. (The normal
correction mo de is the SINGLE correction mo de.)
Note
When the MULTI correction mo de is used, the OPEN/SHORT
correction using the interpolation metho d cannot b e p erformed.
(Only the OPEN/SHORT/LOAD correction at the frequencies you
specify can performed.)
The FREQ1, FREQ2, and FREQ3 frequency p oints are dependent
on the correction mo de (SINGLE, MULTI).
This MODE eld allows you to select the single correction mo de or
the multi correction mo de. For more information ab out the multi
correction mo de, refer to Chapter 3, option 301. scanner in
terface
operation note.
In the case of the multi correction mo de, the channel number for
selecting the correction data is displayed at the CH No. monitor
area.
Front Panel Operation for Setting the Correction Mode to the Multi
Correction Mode
1. Press 4

2. Move the cursor to the SCANNER INTERFACE SETTING eld.
