Figure 7-8 shows the HP 4284A trigger state diagram when in
REMOTE.

Each HP-IB trigger state is describ ed in the follo
wing paragraphs.
IDLE state
During the IDLE state, the measurement data can b e read bya
controller via HP-IB using the FETCh? query.Tochange the IDLE
state to the WAIT FOR TRIGGER state, the INITiate subsystem
command must be used as shown in Figure 7-9.

There are the following two conditions for the INITiate subsystem
commands.
