Basic troubleshooting checklist
If you are experiencing problems with the printer, this checklist may
help identify the cause of the problem.
z Is the printer connected to power?
z Is the printer in the READY
state?
z Are all necessary cables connected?
z Are any messages displayed on the control panel?
z Was a genuine HP supply installed?
z Were recently replaced print cartridges installed correctly? Was
the pull tab on the cartridge removed?
z Were recently installed supply items (image fuser kit, image
transfer kit) installed correctly?
z Is the on/off switch in the on position?
