CARE
OF
APC
AND
PRECISION
3.5
CONNECTORS
(HP
8340B
only).
Considerable
care
must
be
used
when
working
with
APC-3.5
connectors:
Do
not
deform
the
connector
by
excessive
tightening
force,
and
do
not
allow
the
connector
to
get
corroded,
scratched,
or
dirty.
If
cleaning
is
necessary,
use
a
firm,
lintless
brush
only;
do
not
use
any
cleaning
solvents,
since
solvents
can
chemically
damage
the
plastic
bead
that
supports
the
center
conductor.
If
this
connector
is
mechanically
degraded
in
any
way,
high
frequency
losses
will
occur.
