2-25. Original Packaging.
2-26. If original container is to be used, proceed
as follows:
a. P l a ce instrument in original container. If
it is not available a suitable container can be pur¬
chased from your nearest HP sales and service
office.
b. B e sure the container is well sealed with
strong tape or metal band.
2-27. Other Packing Material.
2-28. If original container is not used, proceed as
follows:
a. Wrap instrument in heavy paper or plastic
before placing in inner container.
b. Place packing material around all sides of
the instrument and protect panel face with card¬
board strips.
c. Place instrument in a heavy carton or
wooden box and seal with strong tape or metal
band. See Table 2-1 for the required shipping car¬
ton test strengths.
d. Mark shipping container: DELICATE IN¬
STRUMENT, FRAGILE, etc.
