Operation
Model 8642A/B
10 MHz OVEN OUT is the Option 001 high
stability time base output. This output is
connected to the external reference input
to obtain improved stability.
EXT REF INPUT locks to 1, 2, 5, or 10 MHz.
HP-IB connector is used to connect the Signal
Generator to an external controller for remote
operation.
Z-AXIS output provides a blanking
pulse for oscilloscope display
blanking during retrace.
Optional rear-panel
outputs and inputs
(Option 002).
The line fuse.
10 MHz OUT is locked to the reference
oscillator in use.
Back-up instrument calibration data
is stored in a circuit board located
in this housing.
