b. Rotate the blue release handle to release the latch.
c. Slide the cover toward the back of the chassis and lift the cover off (Figure 2-15).
CAUTION The HP server depends on the access panels being closed for proper cooling of
internal components. Operating the system with the cover removed can cause the
system to quickly overheat.
Replacing the Metal Covers
Step 1. Replace the metal cover:
CAUTION Secure any wires or cables in your system so they do not get cut or interfere with the
replacement of the cover.
a. Align the front edge of the metal cover with the alignment mark on the optical drive bay
(Figure 2-16).
