Installing DIMMs
To install DIMMs, perform the following steps:
Step 1. Align the DIMM with the socket located on the memory extender board. (Align key in slot with the
notch in the DIMM.)
Step 2. Gently and evenly push on each side of the DIMM until it seats in the socket. Ensure that the
extraction levers are in the closed position.
Step 3. Replace the memory extender board.
Step 4. Replace the top cover.
Step 5. Replace the front bezel.
Step 6. If rack mounted, slide the HP Server into the rack until it stops.
