Replacing a Voltage Regulator Module (VRM)
To replace a VRM, perform the following steps:
Step 1. Push the VRM straight into the slot until it stops, then push in the two locking tabs on either side
of the slot to lock the VRM into position.
CAUTION Ensure that the VRM and slot voltages match up and also check that the heatsink on
the VRM faces the PCI card rack after installation. If the VRM is inserted backwards
the system will halt during the boot process.
Step 2. Replace the I/O baseboard in the chassis.
