Performance
Speedy, sophisticated printer
HP consistently exceeds customer printing demands: print documents quickly—up to 22 ppm, with
less than 12.5 seconds to wait for the first page to print. No-wait Instant-on technology delivers a
fast first page (even from Powersave), so you can print documents right away, even first thing in the
morning. Instant-on technology also reduces warm-up time, allowing the printer to consume less
energy and realize less wear on the engine. Calibration is conveniently timed, so you’re not held
up when you need those documents fast.
Easily handles complex print jobs
Complex print jobs are not a problem for this printer. A 533 MHz processor and 96 to 288 MB of
memory, depending on model, enable the printer to process print jobs easily and quickly. You also
experience a quick return to the print job’s application and increased uptime. Expandable memory
options, up to 544 MB on all models, provide even better print performance when it comes to even
the most complex print jobs.
Send Once, Print Many
Experience increased network speed and free up your computer processor for your important work
with the Send Once, Print Many feature. No longer does the printer have to communicate with your
computer for each printed copy of the same document. Instead, your printer processes the
document once and prints every copy thereafter at full speed, collating multi-page documents so
you don’t have to. You will experience fast printing, and your IT manager will free up the network.
HP’s direct PDF printing
With the printer’s direct PDF printing solution, a PDF file (or multiple PDF files) can be sent right to
the printer from any device, without using PDF reader/converter software. The printer directly
renders PDFs to printed output, bypassing conversion processes used by other product-based
solutions, which increases printing performance and removes possible conversion errors. HP’s
direct PDF printing enables driverless printing of PDF files.
Note Direct PDF printing is only available when printer memory is at least 128 MB.
