Select a sturdy, well-ventilated, dust-free area, away from direct sunlight for optimal printer placement.
Lists essential items needed for product setup, including a power outlet and an A-to-B type USB cable.
Connect the power cord to the printer and a grounded AC outlet, and use only the provided power cord.
Caution: Do not connect the USB now. Wait until the software prompts you.
On the control panel, select a language and location for the product and press OK to accept selections.
Insert CD, follow instructions for software installation and setup, connect USB cable when prompted.
Connect network cable to product and network, place CD, click Install or HP installer icon, follow on-screen instructions.
Place CD, click Install (Windows) or HP installer icon (Mac), and follow on-screen instructions for wireless setup.
Register your product at www.register.hp.com and access HP Help and Learn Center for information and support.
