for the disassembly of HP products to remove components and materials requiring selective treatment, as defined by EU
directive 2002/96/EC, Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE).

Tools Required for Disassembly

Product Disassembly Process

Separate Base and Column

Separate the base and column by hand, then use a tool to separate the monitor head and stand.

Remove Rear Cover

Use a tool to remove screws from the rear cover, then separate the rear cover from the monitor head by hand.

Disassemble Cables and Chassis

Disconnect lamp wire, LVDS FFC, and ctrl-BD FFC, then disassemble the chassis from the panel.

Disassemble Control Board

Remove the control board from the panel and bezel, then separate the panel and bezel by hand.

Remove PCBs and Connectors

Release screws on PCBs, tear gaskets, and separate all connectors on PCBs.

Separate Base and Base Cover

Tear rubber foot from base, release screws from base plate, and separate base plate and cover.

Separate VESA Mount

Use tool to release screws and separate the VESA mount from the stand.

Disassemble Front and Back Covers

Disassemble the front cover by hand and then the back cover by hand.

Separate Hinge Components

Use tool to release screws and separate hinge module, hinge shield, and constant force springs.
