• ISSUE (External): PCL6 driver Quicksets do not store all watermark information.
DESCRIPTION: Changes to watermarks (angle, font, shading, and font
size) are not stored with quicksets. The Factory Defaults quickset also
does not restore watermark settings to their default settings.
WORKAROUND: Do not save watermark settings with a quickset.
Instead, save watermarks by using the Watermarks group box on the
Effects tab.
• ISSUE (External): Jobs are not retained on the printer's hard disk when using the
PostScript driver in Windows 98 or Windows Me, and when using the Job
Retention settings in driver. The document prints, but no job is available from the
device front panel.
DESCRIPTION: To recreate the condition, follow these steps:
1. Activate file, print, properties
2. On Device option tab, Features highlight Job Retention
3. Open dropdown list and choose stored job, click OK
WORKAROUND: Use the PCL 6 or PCL 5 drivers.
• ISSUE (Internal): When you use the PCL6 driver and select custom paper
properties from Corel Ventura, various errors occur.
DESCRIPTION: When Custom is selected, unusual characters appear: a
number can be entered manually, but it changes back when another
mouse click is made; the up and down arrows do not function properly. To
recreate some of these conditions, follow these steps:
1. Open a document in Ventura 8.
2. Click File, and then click Print.
3. Click Properties, and then click the Paper tab.
4. Select Custom and change the settings to create a custom paper size.
WORKAROUND: Corel has a software patch to address this:
CV8SP2EN.EXE. The patch is available on the Web at the following URL:
http://www.corel.com/support/
• ISSUE (External): When printing from AutoCAD 2000 with a PCL driver, the
following error occurs: Memory allocation error. It can be followed by a
communication error, or a runtime error.
DESCRIPTION: This error occurs when selecting File/Plot and then
selecting the printer.
