Step 5: Transfer
The toner image on the photosensitive drum transfers to the paper. Transfer bias applied to the transfer roller
attracts the negatively-charged toner to the paper.

Step 6: Separation
The elasticity of the paper and the curvature of the photosensitive drum cause the paper to separate from the
photosensitive drum. The static-charge eliminator removes excess charge from the paper to make sure that
the toner fuses correctly.
