2. On the underside of the scanner assembly, remove two T-8 torx screws (callout 1), and then
remove the cable cover (callout 2).

3. Thread the cables back up through the scanner bed, and then use a small flat-blade screwdriver to
release the tabs (callout 1) at the front of the document feeder assembly hinges to remove the
assembly from the scanner bed.

Optional paper feeder (Tray 3)
When replacing any parts on the optional paper feeder (Tray 3), remove the tray cassette before
removing any other parts.
