Duplexing horizontal registration function
The horizontal registration function uses the contact image sensor (CIS) to align the starting position of
the main scan for the second-side print.
The media fed into the duplexing unit passes between the light emitter and the light receiver of the CIS.
The DC controller detects the misregistration amount on the right side of the media, and then sends this
information to the formatter. The formatter changes the starting position of the main scan direction
according to the information, and then sends the VIDEO signals to the DC controller.
