Battery release latches (2) Release the battery from the battery bay.

Battery bay Holds the battery.

Memory module compartment Contains the memory module slots.

Vents (5) Enable airflow to cool internal components.
NOTE: The computer fan starts up automatically to cool
internal components and prevent overheating. It is normal
for the internal fan to cycle on and off during routine
operation.

Hard drive bay Holds the hard drive.
(6)
Optical drive release latch Releases the optical drive.

Wireless module compartment (select models only) Holds a wireless LAN module (select models only) or a
wireless WAN module (select models only).
CAUTION: WLAN modules and WWAN modules are
not interchangeable.
NOTE: Depending on your computer model, the computer
may have 1 or 2 wireless module slots in the compartment.
