Using Focus Lock
FocusLock allows you to focus on a subject that is not in the
center of the picture, or to capture action shots more quickly by
pre-focusing in the area where the action will occur. You can
also use FocusI_ockto help achieve focus in low light or low
contrast situations.
"_ Frame the subject for your picture within the focus brackets.
2 Pressthe Shutter Button halfway down to lock the focus and
exposure.
3 Continue to hold the Shutter button halfway down while you
re-frame or adjust your subject far proper positioning.
4 Pressthe Shutter button all the way down to take the picture.
gsing the Focus Range Settings
The Macro _ _ button lets you toggle between three focus
settings on the camera. The following table describes each of
the focus range settings on the camera:

Normo FocusUsewhen taking picturesof subjectsgreater than
0.4 m (16 in) away. Auto focusis limited to a
range of 0.4 m (16 in) to infinity. Thisis the ddault
focus setting.

will not take a picture if it cannot find focus(theAF
viewfinder light blinks green and the focusbrackets
turn red in the Lv÷View screen).Auto focus hasa
distance range of 0.18 m to 0.5 m (7 to 20 in).
