Outside of Asia Pacific, in destination countries where Compaq has not 
marketed a product or where there is no support presence for that product, 
Compaq has the option of:  
■  repairing the product in the destination country if only a minor repair is 
needed and common parts are available; or, 
■  requiring the customer to ship the product to Compaq’s regional repair 
center and Compaq will ship the repaired product to the customer or,  
■  requiring the customer to ship the product back to the country of purchase 
and Compaq will ship the repaired product to the customer. 
Service Upgrades and Extended Warranties 
A variety of service upgrades are available for your product.* For information 
on service upgrades, please refer to the Worldwide Phone Numbers booklet. 
*Service upgrades are Available in select regions. Service upgrades purchased 
in one country are 
NOT transferable to another country.
