Remove the baffle from the controller board.
IMPORTANT:
There is no need to remove the baffle when the controller card is installed in slot 1.
Slot 1 is a full-height, half-
length slot, so it supports the baffle in place while slot 2 and slot 3 do
not.
7. If installing a P440 or H240 controller card into slot 2, remove the default bracket from the card and
install the low-profile bracket that comes with the option.
8. If you intend to use a cache module and a HP Smart Storage Battery, install these options now
("Installing an FBWC module and an HP Smart Storage Battery" on page 47).
9. Install the storage controller.
10. Connect all necessary internal cables to the storage controller. For internal drive cabling information,
see "Storage cabling (on page 85)."
11. Install the PCI riser cage (on page 23).
12. Install the access panel (on page 21).
