Installing the Battery-Backed Write Cache Enabler
To install the BBWCE:
1. Power down the server. Refer to “Powering Down the Server” in this chapter.
2. Extend the server from the rack. Refer to “Extending the Server from the Rack”
in this chapter.
3. Remove the access panels. Refer to “Opening and Removing the Access Panels”
in this chapter.
4. Remove all PCI-X cables and any cards that may be installed. Refer to Chapter 7,
“PCI-X Technology.”
5. Pull up on the two plastic rivets to disengage them from the front fan cage (1).
