Using a T-15 Torx screwdriver, remove the hard drive cage.
7. Remove the backplane.
To replace the component, reverse the removal procedure.
Non-hot-plug expansion hard drive cage and drives
To remove the component:
1. Power down the server (on page 25).
2. Do one of the following:
o Open or remove the tower bezel, as needed ("Bezel" on page 27).
o Remove the server from the rack (on page 26).
3. Remove the access panel ("Access panel" on page 29).
4. Disconnect the cables from the non-hot-plug hard drives.
