PCI-X expansion cage
CAUTION: To prevent damage to the server or expansion boards, power down the server and
remove all AC power cords before removing or installing the PCI expansion cage.
To remove the component:
1. Power down the server.
2. Do one of the following:
o Unlock and remove the bezel ("Front bezel" on page 27).
o Extend the server from the rack (on page 26).
3. Remove the access panel ("Access panel" on page 29).
4. Remove the rack bezel (rack servers only) ("Rack bezel" on page 29).
5. Remove the four T-15 screws from the hard drive cage, and then slide the hard drive cage partially out
of the chassis.
6. Disconnect any external cables from the PCI-X expansion boards.
7. Disconnect the power cable extension and the signal cable from the PCI-X expansion cage.
