Disconnect each power cord from the server.
4. Do one of the following:
o For tower models, place the server on a flat, level surface with the access panel facing up.
o For rack models, extend the server from the rack (on page 29).
5. Remove the access panel ("Access panel" on page 30).
6. For rack models, remove the rack bezel. ("Remove the rack bezel" on page 28)
7. If installed, remove the PCI air baffle ("PCI air baffle" on page 32).
8. Remove the system air baffle ("System air baffle" on page 31).
9. Remove the fan cage ("Fan cage" on page 35).
10. Disconnect the data cable and the power cable from the rear of the optical drive.
11. Using the T-15 screwdriver, remove the T-15 screws securing the optical drive cage.
12. Remove the drive cage from the drive cage bay.
