Bezel blanks
To remove the bezel blanks:
1. Disconnect power from the system (
Predisassembly procedures on page 57) and remove the front
bezel (
Front Bezel on page 64)
2. Remove the bezel blanks by squeezing in 1 on the tabs and pushing the bezel blanks out 2.

Top cover
NOTE: It is unnecessary to remove the top cover for most removal or replacement procedures.
To remove the top cover:
1. Disconnect power from the system (
Predisassembly procedures on page 57), remove the side
access panel (
Side access panel on page 63), and remove the front bezel (Front Bezel
on page 64).
2. Push a flat screw driver into tab 1 on the rear of the chassis and gently pry the cover upward.
