Before removing the front fan, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on page 26).
2. Remove the access panel (see Access panel on page 29).
3. Remove the CPU/memory panel (see CPU/memory panel on page 32).
Remove the front fan:
1. Press outward on the top PCIe card guide release latch (1).
2. Release the top PCIe card guide (2) by sliding it toward the back of the computer chassis.
3. Remove the top PCIe card guide (3) by sliding it toward the inside of the computer chassis, and then
removing it from the computer.
4. Disconnect the front fan cable (1) from the system board.
5. Release the two tabs on the top of the front fan (2) from the slots on the computer chassis.
6. Swing the top edge (3) of the front fan away from the computer chassis.
