Removing Cables from a DC PSU
Step 1 Wear an ESD wrist strap. For details, see 12 Preventing Electrostatic Discharge.
Step 2 If only one PSU is configured, power off the server. For details, see 3.2 Powering Off the
Server.
NOTICE
When two PSUs are configured, you can remove the cables from one PSU without powering
off the server if the other PSU is operating properly and its power rating is greater than or
equal to the power rating of the server.
Step 3 Hold down the latches above the power cables to be removed using a flat-head screwdriver,
and remove the power cables. See (1) and (2) in Figure 3-13.
