read-write operation is performed on it.

Green Steady on: A link has been established on the
corresponding GE interface.
Blinking: Data is being transmitted or received
on the link.
Off: No link is established on the corresponding
interface.
Interface Description
RS232 interface
The RS232 interface can be connected to a data terminal for data transmission or to a console
for onsite configuration. Table 3-173 lists RS232 interface attributes.
