Procedure
Step 1 Disconnect the battery cables, and switch o the input circuit breaker of the re
alarm control panel.
Step 2 Open the cover of the re alarm horn/strobe and remove it.
Step 3 Remove cables from the re alarm horn/strobe.
Step 4 Remove screws from the
re alarm horn/strobe base using a Phillips screwdriver,
and remove the base.
Step 5 Insert the output plug of the encoder into the encoding socket of the new re
alarm horn/strobe, adjust the encoder to the encoding function, set the original
address, and press the Execute button to complete the address encoding.
Step 6 Install the new
re alarm horn/strobe, connect the cables, and install the cover.

4.4.8 Replacing a Fire Alarm Sounder
Prerequisites
A spare
re alarm sounder of the same model is available and functional.
Impact on the System
The re extinguishing system stops working during the replacement.
Prerequisites
Tools: needle-nose pliers, insulation tape, protective gloves, step ladder
Materials: spare re alarm sounder, cord end terminals
Document: re extinguishing device layout diagram (standard)
