1.1.2 O-Grid PV+ESS System
The o-grid PV+ESS system applies to remote areas and islands without electricity.
The ESS and PV system are controlled and coordinated to supply power.
In this system, the ESS is AC-coupled with the PV system through an isolation
transformer. The ESS functions as the main power supply for grid forming, and
also supplies power together with the PV system to loads. When the ESS is
overdischarged, the DG charges the ESS.
