Setting your SIM card PIN
Enable the SIM lock to prevent others from using your SIM card. You will need to enter your SIM
card PIN each time you turn on your device or insert your SIM card into another device.
Mobile data is not supported on Wi-Fi only tablets. Please check your tablet features.
Make sure you have received a SIM card PIN from your carrier before enabling the SIM lock.
1 Open Settings.
2 Touch Advanced Wi-Fi settings > Security and select Set up SIM card lock to access the
SIM lock settings.
3 Switch on Lock SIM card. Enter your SIM card PIN and touch OK.
To change your SIM card PIN, touch Change SIM PIN and follow the onscreen instructions.
l You will need to enter the PUK code if you exceed the maximum number of incorrect PIN
attempts. The SIM card will be permanently locked if your enter the PUK code incorrectly
too many times.

Backing up data to your device's internal storage
Back up data to your device's internal storage to avoid losing your files. Only back up smaller
files, such as your contacts, messages, call logs, and calendar.
1 Open
Backup.
2 Touch Backup > Internal storage > Next.
3 Select the data you want to back up and touch Back up. When prompted, enter a backup
password. No backup password is required for photos, audio files, videos, or documents.
l Set a password reminder to ensure you don't lose access to your files.
l By default, backup files are saved to the HuaweiBackup folder in Files.
4 To restore data, open Backup.
5 Touch Restore > Restore from internal storage > Next.
6 Select the backup you want to restore.
If the backup data is encrypted, enter the encryption password when prompted.
7 Select the data you want to restore and touch START RESTORATION.
