Connecting the storage system to the network
The controller enclosure can be connected to application servers using front-end ports.
• 5110 V5/5300 V5 supports the following types of front-end ports: 8 Gbit/s FC, 16 Gbit/s FC, 32 Gbit/s
FC, 10 Gbit/s Ethernet, 10 Gbit/s FCoE、GE electrical, 10GE electrical, 25 Gbit/s Ethernet, 40 Gbit/s
Ethernet, and 100 Gbit/s Ethernet.
• 5500 V5 supports the following types of front-end ports: 8 Gbit/s FC, 16 Gbit/s FC, 32 Gbit/s FC, 10
Gbit/s Ethernet, 10 Gbit/s FCoE, GE electrical, 10GE electrical, 25 Gbit/s Ethernet, 40 Gbit/s Ethernet,
100 Gbit/s Ethernet, and 56 Gbit/s IB.
10GE electrical interface modules support GE/10GE auto-sensing.
