l You can apply for an account of the support website at http://support.huawei.com/enterprise.
l You have 180 days to use an account after it is activated. If there are only 45 days or fewer days left,
you will be reminded of activating the tool again. If the tool is not activated after 180 days, you only
have permissions of a Visitor.
Step 3 (Optional) Install FRU replacement tool package.
l If your maintenance terminal can access the Internet, choose Home > Storage > Parts
Replacement > Parts Replacement. In the dialog box that is displayed, click OK to
download and install it.
l If your maintenance terminal cannot access the Internet, click Import on the Home tab
page and select the tool package that is exported from another SmartKit environment to
import and install it in offline mode.

5.1.2 Checking System Status
This operation enables you to check system status and ensure that the status of components
except for those need to be replaced is normal.
Procedure
Step 1 Run SmartKit.
Step 2 Choose Home > Storage > Routine Maintenance > Health Check.
NOTE
l OceanStor SmartKit users are grouped into Huawei engineers, Channel partner engineers,
Customers, and Visitors based on user permissions. You can log in to the Inspection tool using one
of the preceding roles.
l Visitors users do not have corresponding accounts. When you log in to OceanStor SmartKit, on the
tool activation page that is displayed, select Not activate and go to the SmartKit GUI. Then you can
use the tool as a Visitor.
l If you log in to OceanStor SmartKit as a Visitor, you have only 15 days for trail use. You cannot use
the tool after the trial period expires.
l The following uses Huawei engineers as an example.
Step 3 On the Health Check page, perform a health check in the sequence of Device Selection,
Inspection, Information Collection, and then Disk Health Analysis, as shown in Figure
5-1.
