7.5 Performing Primary/Secondary Switchover of a
Consistency Group
This operation enables you to switch between the primary LUNs and the secondary LUNs in a
consistency group. When the primary LUNs in a consistency group fail, you can initiate a
primary/secondary switchover to enable the secondary LUNs to become the new primary
LUNs, taking over services from the original primary LUNs to ensure service continuity.
Prerequisites
Based on Running Status of a consistency group and Secondary Resource Data Status of
the remote replication pairs added to the consistency group, determine whether a primary/
secondary switchover can be performed for the consistency group, as shown in Table 7-6.
