Getting Ready
◎ Note the following points, which may cause
malfunction or damage, when handling au IC
Card.
- Do not touch the IC (metal) part of au IC
Card.
- Insert in the correct direction.
- Do not use force to attach or remove.
◎ When au IC Card is not attached properly
or au IC Card is abnormal, an error message
appears.
◎ Do not lose au IC Card after it has been
removed.
◎ Do not insert au IC Card with a conversion
adapter attached to. Doing so may cause
malfunction.
◎ The bundled SIM card removal tool (sample) is
necessary to attach/remove au IC Card.
When au IC Card is not inserted, the
following operations are not available. "

• Sending/receiving SMS
• Sending/receiving +Message
• Making initial settings for au mail and
sending/receiving au mail
• Setting up PIN code
• Checking the phone number and mail
address of this product.
