12.1 What can I do if my screen is erratic?
1. Check whether this problem occurs only when you use a certain app or certain apps. If yes,
this problem is not caused by your phone. There are various apps in the market. Some apps
occupy more phone resources and therefore cause certain problems. Some apps may contain
viruses that consume more service charges or traffic. You are suggested to download apps
from Huawei App Center.
2. If the problem persists after you uninstall the apps in question, back up the data in your
phone and restore the factory settings.
3. If the screen doesn't automatically turn on after you end a call, press the power button to
turn on the screen. Check whether the proximity sensor on the upper part of the screen is
blocked. When you place your phone near your face, the sensor detects the blocking and your
phone turns off the screen to prevent calls from being ended by misoperations. If the sensor is
blocked, your phone will not automatically turn on the screen after you end the call.
4. Check whether Strict Mode enabled under Developer options is enabled. If this option is
enabled, there will be a red frame on your screen. Therefore, disable Developer options in
normal use.
5. Check whether you have received the system update notification in System updates.
Connect to a Wi-Fi network to download the latest system version and update your phone.
12.2 Why can I see some horizontal lines under lights
when the screen is turned off?
This is a normal phenomenon, which is caused by the circuit transparency of the touchscreen
functions.
12.3 Why can't my screen respond properly when I swipe
on the screen to unlock it?
If this happens when your phone is in your pocket and a call comes in, it is normal that the
touchscreen malfunctions. Press the power button to turn on the screen and then unlock your
