8 Power-On Commissioning

Context

NO TICE

● The power-on commissioning process requires as least two qualied

electricians, one responsible for operations and the other for monitoring.

● Cautions and warnings must be properly placed onsite.

● Powering o the combiner cabinet disconnects the power supply to the

downstream devices. Exercise caution with this operation when the combiner

cabinet is supplying power to a working system.

Procedure

Step 1 Perform the insulation check only after the upstream and downstream circuit

breakers of the combiner cabinet are powered o.

1. Disconnect the SPD fuses FU9 and FU10 in the combiner cabinet, connect the

PSU fuses FU11 and FU12, and turn on all output disconnectors.

2. Use a multimeter to check that the insulation resistance between the positive

and negative terminals of the SPD, and between the positive and negative

terminals and PE is at least 0.5 megohm.

3. After the check is complete, switch o all output disconnectors in the

combiner cabinet.
