Huawei RH2288H V3 - Installing the Server on L-Shaped Guide Rails

● Additional servers are required in a cabinet for capacity expansion.
● A faulty server needs to be replaced with a new RH2288H V3.
● A dierent rack server needs to be replaced with the server.
● A server component needs to be maintained.
NO TICE
Before installing a server, check that the guide rails of the cabinet are level,
smooth, and not deformed. This ensures surface contact between the server and
the guide rails and even weight distribution. You are advised to use the guide rails
delivered with the server to ensure even weight distribution.
The following tools are available:
● ESD wrist strap or ESD gloves
● Screwdriver
● Floating nut hook
3.4.1 Installing the Server on L-Shaped Guide Rails
L-shaped guide rails are designed for Huawei cabinets.
Procedure
Step 1 Install the
oating nuts.
1. Determine the positions for installing the oating nuts according to the
installation plan.
NO TE
The oating nuts and screws are used together to secure the server.
The middle of two adjacent square holes with smaller spacing is the boundary of two
Us. See Figure 3-3. The boundary lines are used as the reference for installation
position.
