Procedure
Connect chassis power cables to external power supplies for automatic power-on.
1. Connect the chassis power cables to external power supplies. If the server
does not power on automatically, see 6.1 Powering On the RH8100 V3.
When the server is powered on, iBMC is also powered on automatically.
Log in to iBMC.
2. For details, see 9.2 Logging In to the iBMC WebUI.
Use iBMC to power o the server.
3. On the menu bar, choose Power.
4. In the left panel, choose Power Control.
The Power Control page is displayed on the right.
5. In the Virtual Power Button area, click Power
O. The message "Operation
succeeded" is displayed.
After the server is powered o, iBMC is still available, but the CPUs and DIMMs are
powered o.
Set the operating mode. Then iBMC restarts automatically.
