1 FM-B The FM-B supports hard disks, RAID controller cards, and an
iBBU or a supercapacitor.
2 Hard disk Hard disks are hot-swappable and store data for the RH8100
V3. The FM-B supports a maximum of twenty-four 2.5-inch
SAS, SATA, or SSD disks.
3 Disk tray The FM-B is congured with two disk trays, and each one
supports 12 disks.
4 Front I/O

The FIO-B houses RAID controller cards and provides the
management function.
5/6 RAID
controller
card
The FM-B supports two SR430C RAID controller cards.
Each SR430C RAID controller card:
● Uses the LSISAS3108 chip.
● Supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50, and 60.
● Supports a supercapacitor for power failure protection.
● Supports RAID level migration and drive roaming.
The FM-B supports the following RAID controller cards:
● RAID controller card 1 on compute module 1
● RAID controller card 2 on compute module 5
NOTE
When a compute module is not installed, the RAID controller card on
it is not available.
7 Supercap
acitor
The supercapacitor provides power failure protection for a
RAID controller card with the LSISAS3108 chip.
